Ms. Streilein serves as primary instructor for the Diagnostic Methods course, as well as instructing in the History and Physical Diagnosis and Patient Assessment courses of the PA Program. Ms. Streilein's areas of clinical and educational interest include women's health and prenatal care, pediatrics, public health, diagnostic methods, cultural competence and international medicine. She works as a physician assistant in public health. She serves on the Progress & Promotions, Curriculum and Admissions committees of the PA Program. Ms. Streilein is also a member of the 2006-7 North Carolina Institute of Medicine Task Force on Health Literacy. Prior to becoming a PA, Ms. Streilein was a nationally certified (ASCP) medical technologist in clinical laboratories and HIV research at Duke.
