Ms. Hills serves as the associate director for the PA Program. She is the coordinator of the History and Physical Diagnosis course and works with the clinical coordinators on clinical year curriculum including: call back days and the senior seminar. She serves as a physician assistant at the Duke University Student Health Center. Her areas of clinical and educational interest are adolescent medicine, preventive medicine, use of standardized patients in PA education and transition from PA training to professional practice. She is a member of Pi Alpha, the national physician assistant honor society. Ms. Hills serves on the PAEA’s Education Committee and the Duke University School of Medicine’s Capstone Committee. Recent publications include: “Focused Teaching for Focused Learning: An Approach to Teaching Clinical Medicine Using Standardized Patients,” in Perspective on Physician Assistant Education and posters on: “Teaching Clinical Prevention: A Curriculum Module” and “Bridge to the Clinical Year: Transition from Classroom to Clinic.”
