Ms. Schaffer is a clinical coordinator. She is an instructor in the History and Physical Diagnosis course and is the unit coordinator for the Introduction to Clinical Prevention unit for the Clinical Medicine course. Additionally, she has led a major curriculum revision on the development of the Diagnostic Methods course. Ms. Schaffer is a physician assistant at Duke Family Medicine. Her areas of clinical interest include: prevention of disease, diabetes management, pediatrics, women's health, and access to health care. Her educational interests include: curriculum development, case based learning and evaluation. Recent publications include a poster and abstract on “Teaching Clinical Prevention: A Curriculum Module.”
